Baby names at risk of going extinct in 2022

Sorry “K.” It looks like your time to shine is over.

The website babycenter.com recently looked at baby names that are increasingly falling out of favor and found that “K” names – like Khalid, Kian, Kyle, and Kobe – were not as popular as they once were. In all, those names dropped between 138 and 60 spots on the list of most popular boy names in the last year.

For girls, Hayden was the name that fell the most, by a whopping 202 spots in the rankings.

Here’s a look at some of the other names that are at risk of extinction, plus just how far they dropped in the rankings between 2021 and 2022, per babycenter.com.
