A new riverfront plaza that will feature a hotel, condos, office space and entertainment options will move forward, after the Mobile City Council agreed to sell city property to the developers.

“It’ll offer a lot of things that we don’t have today,” Mobile Mayor Sandy Stimpson said of the new plaza Tuesday. “It helps the downtown area, from a perception standpoint as well as a growth standpoint.”
