Finebaum rails on Alabama for lack of discipline, makes CFP declaration
It’s over for the Alabama Crimson Tide, according to Paul Finebaum.
The SEC Network analyst made it clear his thoughts on Kalen DeBoer’s team chances for the College Football Playoff on Sunday, the day after No. 7 Alabama fell 24-17 to No. 11 Tennessee in Knoxville.
“I’m in on that and after what we saw yesterday in Knoxville, it’s hard to believe that Alabama can run the table,” Finebaum said about the Tide’s CFP chances. “They’re one of the most undisciplined Alabama teams I have ever seen.”
The Tide was penalized 15 times for 115 yards on Saturday and was just 3 of 14 on third-down conversions.
“It is just unfathomable to think they can put all this back together again,” Finebaum said. “They have road games at LSU, which is an almost impossible place to win. So, even though it’s not impossible, and I’m sure Kalen DeBoer will find a way to make his players believe it’s not over, it feels over for the Crimson Tide.”
Alabama, which has lost two of the last three games, hosts Missouri on Saturday.
