A 69-year-old man was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Montgomery.

Police on Tuesday identified the fatality victim as Richard Ward. He lived in Union Springs.

The wreck happened at 8:44 a.m. Monday on Selma Highway near Alatex Road, said police Maj. Saba Coleman.

Ward, the driver of a Mack dump truck, was pronounced dead on the scene.

The other vehicle was a Peterbilt 18-wheeler. The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured.

The investigation is ongoing by Montgomery police.
