A Huntsville woman has been charged with battery of a person 65 or older after authorities say she struck a person on a cruise ship.

WPLG in Miami is reporting that Kelli Lyn Ryan, 49, was arrested Saturday after her cruise ship, the MSC Seascape, docked at PortMiami.

According to her arrest report, Ryan slapped the victim during a dispute in the ship’s theater. The incident was allegedly caught on security video at about 9:30 p.m. Oct. 6.

The ship’s deputy chief of security informed police that Ryan’s son, Dylan Ryan, was also seen on video striking the victim more than once.

According to the arrest report, Dylan Ryan was kicked off the ship at the Port of Jamaica due to “excessive behavior.”
