An elderly woman was killed when she was struck in the parking lot of a Cullman grocery store.

The crash happened at 7:07 p.m. Tuesday in the parking lot of Publix on U.S.31.

Authorities said 91-year-old Patricia Ross was walking in the crosswalk when she was struck by a vehicle.

She was taken to UAB Hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

The driver of the vehicle that struck Ross – 77-year-old Janice Lee – was not injured.
