‘90s band reunion happening after 30 years, lead singer confirms

4 Non Blondes is back, according to lead singer Linda Perry.

Perry confirmed the group, known for the song “What’s Up?,” will play at the BattleRock Napa Valley music festival in May.

“It’s not (the right time) and I don’t know when it would (be),” lead singer Linda Perry said on “The Allison Hagendorf Show,” per PEOPLE. “It’s more like, honestly, it’s the right time in my head. It’s the right time in my heart. I’ve been kind of putting that energy out, because I want 2025 to be my year. I want to own this year because I feel like I’ve been planting seeds all over the place and I’m watching my little trees grow.”

According to the report, has only played together once in the past 30 years.

“We got this offer (for the music festival) … and I’m like, ‘Okay, I knew this was coming,’” Perry said. I want this to happen. I’ve told the universe I want this to happen. And so it’s coming. So I called up the band, one by one. I said, ‘Hey, how do you guys feel about this?’ And mind you, we don’t talk. But they were excited, and so I’m gonna go hang out with them in San Francisco, rehearse and just dick around. Not really have a plan, but just see how it feels.”
