89-year-old man dies after falling out of boat into Dog River
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency provided the identity of a Mobile man that died Thursday morning after falling out of his boat.
According to ALEA, the boater was Willie E. Parker, 89. Parker fell into Dog River shortly before noon as he was operating a 1973 Gulf Breeze vessel.
Parker’s body was found by emergency responders near the same area he initially fell into the water, ALEA said.
The agencies that assisted in finding Parker included the Mobile Police Department’s Marine Unit, the Mobile Fire Department, Daphne Search and Rescue and ALEA’s Marine Patrol Division.
The incident is still being investigated by ALEA’s Marine Patrol Troopers.
