An investigation is underway after an 86-year-old man was shot to death in Montgomery.

Authorities on Wednesday identified the victim as William Strane.

Police and fire medics were dispatched at 1:56 p.m. Tuesday to the 2700 block of Locust Street, said Maj. Saba Coleman. They found Strane dead on the scene.

No additional details have been made public and no arrests have been announced.
