An elderly woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Trussville.

The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the fatality victim as Leola W. Manuel. She was 82 and lived in Trussville.

The wreck happened at 2:22 p.m. Monday on Carrington Drive at Gadsden Highway.

Manuel was taken to UAB Hospital where she was pronounced dead at 3:09 p.m.

The crash remains under investigation by Trussville police.
