An elderly man has died following a head-on crash in Walker County.

Alabama State Troopers identified the victim Friday as Billy R. Henson. He was 81 and lived in Cordova.

The crash happened at 5:57 p.m. on May 4 on American Junction Road, about two miles east of Parrish.

Trooper Cpl. Reginal King said Henson was driven a 1964 Ford Falcon that collided head on with a Toyota Sienna driven by Daniel L. Wilcutt, 50, of Danville.

Henson and Wilcutt were both transported to Brookwood Medical Center in Jasper for treatment. Henson was later transported to Huntsville Hospital where he died on Thursday.

The crash remains under investigation.
