75-year-old woman charged in stabbing death of husband in Pleasant Grove
A 75-year-old Jefferson County woman has been charged with murder in the stabbing death of her husband.
Pleasant Grove police and fire medics responded at 3:17 a.m. Monday to the couple’s home in the 400 block of 13th Place North. They arrived to find Rudolphus Wynn suffering from sharp force injures.
Rudolphus Wynn was pronounced dead on the scene at 3:39 a.m.
His wife, Shirley Ann Wynn, was charged with murder on Monday afternoon. Police said the man was killed during a domestic incident.
Court records show the couple had been married since 1990. They filed for divorce in 2020, but later reconciled.
Shirley Wynn was booked into the Jefferson County Jail at 5:28 p.m.
Acting Police Chief Danny Reid said she is being held without bond under Aniah’s Law, which allows judges to deny bond to those who are charged with committing violent crimes.
