A 74-year-old woman was killed in a crash Thursday in Hale County.

Alabama State Troopers identified the fatality victim as Tracie H. Powell. She lived in Moundville.

The wreck happened at 10:55 a.m. on Alabama 60, about two miles north of Akron.

Trooper Cpl. Reginal King said Powell’s Mazda CX-9 left the roadway and struck a tree. She was pronounced dead on the scene.

Troopers are investigating.
