Authorities have released the name of a pedestrian killed in a hit-and-run in Birmingham.

The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office Monday identified the victim as Fabin Houston Boyd. He was 70 and lived in Birmingham.

The wreck happened at 5:23 p.m. Thursday on Finley Boulevard between 16th Street and 17th Street North.

According to coroner’s officials the victim was crossing the road when a vehicle hit him. The driver left the scene.

Boyd was pronounced dead at 5:38 p.m.

No arrests have been announced.

Birmingham police are investigating.
