70 million mega-popular candies sold at Walmart, Five Below recalled due to choking hazard
If you have kids, chances are they’ve asked for one of the brightly packaged Slime Licker candies at the grocery store checkout. Now, more than 70 million of the mega-popular treats are being recalled due to the possibility of a choking hazard.
Candy Dynamics is recalling 2 and 3-ounce containers of its Slime Licker Sour Rolling Liquid Candy due to the possibility the package’s rolling ball can come loose and pose a choking hazard, the Consumer Product Safety Commission announced. The candy was sold in Blue Razz, Strawberry, Sour Apple and Black Cherry flavors with “Toxic Waste,” or “Mega Toxic Waste” brand on the front.
The company said it has received two reports of the rolling applicator ball detaching from the container but no injuries have been reported.
