Festival season is underway in Birmingham, and that means plenty of opportunities to hear good music, eat yummy food, show off your beloved pet and even help the environment. When: May 6, 11 a.m.-7 p.m.

Where: Avondale Park, 4101 Fifth Ave. South, Birmingham.
