A 68-year-old man has been charged in a deadly shooting last weekend in Montgomery.

Willie Davis, 68, is charged with murder. He was taken into custody on Thursday.

Davis is charged in the Sunday slaying of 60-year-old Stoney Lewis.

The shooting happened about 5:55 a.m. in the 1500 block of South Holt Street. Lewis was pronounced dead on the scene.

Charging documents against Davis state he shot Lewis in the face. A motive has not been disclosed.

Davis is being held without bond in the Montgomery County Detention Facility. He has a preliminary hearing scheduled for later this month.
