64-year-old motorcyclist killed in weekend Etowah County crash

A motorcyclist was killed in a weekend crash in Etowah County.

Alabama State Troopers on Monday identified the victim as Tracy L. Carroll. He was 64 and lived in Boaz.

The wreck happened at 3:50 p.m. Saturday on Lawson Gap Road, about three miles south of Boaz.

Senior Trooper Vu Quang said Carroll’s Harley-Davison left the road and hit a utility pole.

Carroll was pronounced dead on the scene.

The crash remains under investigation by troopers.
