A 62-year-old man is behind bars, accused of possession child pornography.

The West Alabama Human Trafficking Task Force charged Ralph Allan White with eight counts of possession obscene material depicting child sex abuse.

Officers served the warrants on White in Jasper.

Authorities said the investigation began in March 2021 when White was living in the 17000 bock of U.S. Highway 43 in Northport.

The Joint Electronic Crimes Task Force and the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office assisted the task force in the investigation.

White was booked into the Tuscaloosa County Jail Feb. 17. His bond is set at $120,000.
