6-year-old Alabama girl dies 3 days after head-on crash that killed her mother, injured 3 others
A 6-year-old south Alabama girl died this morning following a weekend head-on crash that also killed her mother.
The wreck happened just after 7 p.m. Saturday on Alabama 167 near the Florida state line, about eight miles south of Hartford in Geneva County.
According to Alabama State Troopers, Cobb was a passenger in a Chevrolet Silverado that collided head on with a Dodge Ram 2500 driving by a 16-year-old also from Slocomb.
Tiffany Cobb, 26, of Slocomb, was pronounced dead on the scene.
Her daughter, Rylan Michelle Cobb, died Tuesday morning at Children’s of Alabama in Birmingham.
Cobb’s husband, 26-year-old Wesley Cobb, was taken to Southeast Health in Dothan. Another child, age 4, was also hospitalized. Both sustained critical injuries.
A third child was not injured.
The 16-year-old driver of the Dodge Ram was hospitalized with unknown injuries.
The crash remains under investigation by troopers.
