Six Auburn players and one former Tigers will be among the 319 prospects participating in the 2023 NFL Combine.
The NFL on Wednesday released a full list of invites for the annual scouting event, which will be held Feb. 28-March 6 in Indianapolis. Auburn’s six players is double the amount of former Tigers who participated in last year’s Combine, when only cornerback Roger McCreary, linebacker Zakoby McClain and safety Smoke Monday were invited. The Tigers had just four players participate in the 2021 NFL Combine.
The six invites are the most for Auburn since 2020, when nine former Tigers participated in the event. The Tigers are tied with Cincinnati, Oregon and Pitt for the 13th-most well-represented program at this year’s NFL Combine. Alabama leads the way with 13 invites, while Georgia is second with a dozen players. Michigan, TCU, LSU and Florida received nine invites apiece, with Clemson and Ohio State both at eight invites, and Maryland, Oklahoma, Penn State and Tennessee each at seven.
