An investigation is underway after a man was shot to death in Montgomery.

Police on Sunday identified the victim as Davis Pitts. He was 59.

Montgomery police Maj. Saba Coleman said officers were notified about 8 p.m. Friday that the victim had shown up at the homicide with a gunshot wound. He was later pronounced dead.

Investigators learned the shooting happened in the 4000 block of Cresta Circle. No additional information has been released.
