55th NAACP Image Awards: How to watch, where to live stream

Hosted by the icon herself Queen Latifah, the 2024 NAACP Image Awards will officially premiere Saturday, March 16 at 8/7c on both CBS and BET.

The NAACP Image Awards is considered one of the most iconic annual celebrations of Black excellence that draws some of Hollywood’s biggest and brightest stars for one night.

According to the NAACP, Colman Domingo leads in this year’s nominations across the motion picture categories with three total nods while Ayo Edebiri received the most nominations in the television and streaming categories with two for Abbott Elementary and The Bear.

Meanwhile, Victoria Monét and Usher received the most nominations in the music recording categories, earning six and five nods, respectively.

Where can I watch the 55th NAACP Image Awards?

Those who have ditched basic cable can live stream the awards show on Saturday with either Philo, Fubo or DirecTV Stream. All three live streaming services have access to BET, however, only Fubo and DirecTV Stream can access the CBS channel.

All three live streaming services offer free trials for new subscribers who can watch the NAACP Image Awards for free before committing to a paid subscription.

However, Philo is the cheapest of the three streaming services at $25 a month after its 7-day free trial.

What is Philo?

For those who are unfamiliar with Philo, it is set up like any other streaming service, but instead of offering exclusively on-demand content, it offers a variety of live TV channels. At just $25 a month, it is considered one of the cheaper live streaming services available with over 70 live TV channels to choose from.

Popular channels offered with Philo include the Hallmark Channel, Lifetime, MTV, AMC, HGTV, History Channel, Discovery Channel, CMT, TLC, BET and more.

Philo also offers unlimited DVR along with TV shows and movies users can watch on-demand from channels included in the streaming package.

What is Fubo?

Fubo is also an alternative to a regular cable subscription, but with more exclusive channel options that Philo does not offer such as ABC, CBS, NBC, ESPN, FOX and more.

While Fubo considers itself a sports-focused streaming service, its standard streaming package comes with over 100 TV live channels for $79.99 a month after its free trial.

Fubo also comes with a variety of shows and movies users can watch on-demand along with the option to record your favorite TV shows.

What is DirecTV Stream?

DirecTV Stream is similar to FuboTV in that it offers many of the same channels and features. At $84.98 a month after its free trial, the base package comes with a little over 75 live TV channels.
