A Prattville woman was shot and killed Friday afternoon in Montgomery, police said.

Montgomery police and fire medics responded near West Boulevard and Ashley Road around 1 p.m. Friday on a report of a person shot, said Maj. Saba Coleman.

At the scene, authorities found 54-year-old Stephanie Harbison of Prattville with a gunshot wound.

Harbison was pronounced dead at the scene, Coleman said.
