A four-vehicle wreck in Birmingham left one man dead.

The crash happened at 12:33 p.m. Tuesday on Arkadelphia Road at Eighth Avenue West.

Details of the wreck have not been released, but the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office said 53-year-old Archie Lee Robbins Jr. was the driver of a Chevrolet Silverado.

Robbins, of Birmingham, was taken to UAB Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 1:53 p.m.

Birmingham police are investigating.
