52-year-old Trussville woman killed in fiery crash on I-59 in Birmingham
A 52-year-old woman was killed Tuesday in a fiery crash on Interstate 59 southbound in Birmingham.
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as April Marie Lindsey. She was 52 and lived in Trussville.
The wreck happened at 6:58 a.m. on I-59 between Fourth Avenue South and First Avenue North.
Chief Deputy Coroner Bill Yates said multiple vehicles were involved, but additional details were not released.
Lindsey was pronounced dead on the scene at 7:04 a.m.
Birmingham police are investigating.
