Spokeswoman Amanda Ingram said Winslett was suffering a life-threatening medical condition prior to his arrest on Nov. 22. He was alone in his cell and there were no signs of foul play.

He was discovered dead about 6:30 a.m.

Winslett was being held without bond on charges of unlawful possession of a pistol, failure to register as a sex offender, possession of drug paraphernalia, two counts of first-degree robbery, two counts of first-degree kidnapping, and domestic violence.
