$5,000 reward offered in unsolved 2023 Montgomery homicide

It’s been nearly two years since a 25-year-old man was fatally shot in Montgomery, and a reward for information in his slaying is now being offered.

William Coachman was shot shortly after 3 p.m. on June 22, 2023. He died a month after he was wounded.

Investigators said Coachman was involved in a verbal altercation with another man, who shot and killed Coachman. The altercation happened at a hotel at 5175 Carmichael Road in Montgomery.

Central Alabama Crime Stoppers on Thursday released a photo of the unknown suspect.

Crime Stoppers is offering a $5,000 reward for information that leads to the identity of the suspect.
