5 questions with Republican Alabama House District 10 candidate Teddy Powell

Madison City Councilman Teddy Powell announced in October that he would seek the Republican nomination in the Alabama House District 10 Special Election. Powell describes himself as a lifelong Republican and longtime resident of Madison. He says he brings a “passion for service and dedication to (the) community” and hopes to “bring the successes of the City of Madison to the State House.” The seat was vacated by former Rep. David Cole after he was found voting in an unauthorized district.

Q: What led to your decision to run for the House seat and what qualifications do you have?
