5 meals under $10 we love from Huntsville local restaurants
Ten bucks doesn’t go nearly as far as it used to, even not long ago, to “eat local” in Huntsville. Due to nutso post-pandemic food costs and other service-industry challenges, menu prices at many local haunts now resemble those in much larger Southeast markets. It sucks.
The end-effect? Enjoying the flavors and culture local food adds to our city is less accessible on a regular basis to middle- and lower-income Huntsville residents. And that’s just for normal, fast-casual and mom-and-pop type joints – let alone upscale restaurants.
But there are exceptions. Below are five meals under $10 I love from local Huntsville restaurants. (No regional/national chains.) Please note: These are meals priced, as of publishing, $10 or less, pre-tax and pre-tip.
