Each week Jefferson County posts across their social media pages to let people know what road work is scheduled for the next four or five days. While a majority of the list is regular maintenance items like mowing and litter pickup, some larger road projects could involve months long road closures that impacts people’s commutes.

The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) website also provides a map of ongoing road projects with information on how long the projects are anticipated to last and what lanes will be impacted.

Below are five ongoing road projects that may impact your ability to get around the county over the next week:

Lindale Realignment Project

Adamsville’s Lindale Road will remain closed until November 10 as the county continues their work on the road’s realignment, a project that first began in 2008 but was paused until recently due to finances according to Jefferson County Public Information Officer Helen Hays.
