A man was arrested on child porn charges after state agents descended on a Gardendale home.

Christopher O’Neal Chilton, 47, was taken into custody Tuesday.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, Chilton is charged with dissemination of child pornography.

The State Bureau of Investigations’ Internet Crimes Against Children and the Gardendale police early Tuesday morning carried out a search warrant at a home in the 1600 block of Magnolia Street.

ALEA officials said the search warrant was served in connection with an ongoing ICAC investigation. No additional details are being released at this time.

Chilton was booked into the Jefferson County Jail just before 1 p.m. Tuesday and remains held on $60,000 bond.
