45-year-old man killed while cutting down tree at his Jefferson County home
Authorities have released the name of a man killed Saturday when he was struck by a falling tree at his northern Jefferson County home.
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Pablo Nunez. He was 45.
Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies and Gardendale Fire and Rescue Service were dispatched at 6:10 p.m. to the 100 block of Neely Road.
Chief Deputy Coroner Bill Yates said Nunez was cutting down a tree at his home when he was struck by the tree.
Nunez was pronounced dead on the scene at 6:28 p.m.
