43-year-old man killed in Tuscaloosa shooting
A 43-year-old man was fatally shot in Tuscaloosa Monday night.
The victim has been identified a Tibaous Giles.
Tuscaloosa police were dispatched at 8 p.m. to reports of gunfire in the 300 block of 24th Street. When they arrived, they found Giles dead on the scene, said Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit Capt. Jack Kennedy.
The scene was processed, evidence was collected, and witnesses and the suspect were interviewed.
Kennedy said possible issues of self-defense have been raised in the incident and no arrests have been made at this time. This case is still under active investigation and no other information will be released, he said.
