40-year-old missing woman found dead in Tuscaloosa County; investigation ongoing

A woman reported missing out of Fayette County over the weekend was found dead early Tuesday in Tuscaloosa County.

Brandalyn “Brandy” Terry, 40, was last seen Friday in Berry, according the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office. She was reported to be traveling in a white 2010 Honda According.

Terry was found dead about 12:30 a.m. Tuesday when authorities responded a possible crash just off the roadway on Alabama 69 in Tuscaloosa County. Terry was outside of the wrecked vehicle and pronounced dead on the scene.

There was no obvious sign of foul play, authorities said, but the investigation is ongoing.

“It is with great sadness that we report she was found deceased,’’ the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office posted on Facebook. “Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family during this difficult time.”

Fayette sheriff’s officials said the Walker County Sheriff’s Office, the Jasper Police Department and the University of Alabama Join Electronic Crimes Task Force assisted with the missing person’s case.
