4 shot early Sunday at Birmingham nightclub

The investigation is ongoing into a Sunday morning shooting at a Birmingham nightclub.

Police at 3:10 a.m. received a call of a person shot in the 1700 block of Third Avenue West.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken by Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Officer Truman Fitzgerald said while officers were on the scene, they learned that at least three additional men had shown up by private vehicle at a hospital.

One of those men sustained life-threatening injuries.

Fitzgerald said the preliminary investigation revealed that an argument took place at the undisclosed nightclub.

A suspect, who has not been identified, opened fire on a group of nightclub patrons.

No arrests have been made.
