4 killed in Mobile County crash identified a month after deadly wreck
Four people were killed and a fifth injured in a single-vehicle crash in Mobile County.
The wreck happened June 17, but authorities officially released the victims’ identities on Thursday, July 11.
The fatality victims were identified as Jacoby R. Ruggs, 27, Sade Mose, 23, Jamariyah S. Thomas, 21, and Jaglen P. Robinson, 24. All four of them lived in Mobile, and Mose and Thomas were cousins.
It was just after 6:30 a.m. that Monday when the Honda Accord driven by Ruggs left Interstate 65, about 15 miles north of Mobile, struck a culvert and overturned, said Senior Trooper Joshua Thompson.
Ruggs, Mose and Thomas were not using seatbelts and were ejected from the car. All three, as well as Robinson, were pronounced dead on the scene, Thompson said.
Another passenger, 31-year-old Princeton M. Warren, was injured and taken to University of South Alabama Hospital in Mobile.
Authorities said release of the information was delayed because of the extensive investigation.
