4 arrested in north Alabama for manufacturing identities for immigrants here illegally
Four people have been charged following a multi-agency investigation that authorities say involved four people using stolen identities to make identifying documents for immigrants here illegally.
According to the Decatur police, the investigation began after tips in January and February.
On February 8, investigators with the Decatur police’s vice/narcotics unit, working with the department’s financial crimes unit, the U.S. Secret Service, U.S. Marshals and the Social Security Administration, executed a search warrant at 1005 Honeysuckle Lane S.W.
According to police, investigators found inside the residence several forms of stolen identification, as well as identifying documents that had been manufactured.
Arrested were:
Estela Pablo, 32, of Decatur, charged with trafficking in stolen identities, held on $150,000 cash bond.
Agustin Tzep-Pablo, 27, of Decatur, charged with trafficking in stolen identities and tampering with physical evidence, on a $150,300 cash bond.
Miguel Pablo Guitierrez, 43, of Decatur, charged with trafficking in stolen identities and giving a false name to law enforcement, held on a $150,300 cash bond.
Police said Agustin Ramos-Pablo, 33, of Decatur, was not at the residence during the execution of the search warrant. On April 7, investigators arrested him at his residence. He was transported to the Morgan County Jail and held on $250,000 cash bond.
