$39 flights from Mobile to Orlando: Breeze opens limited-time offer
Breeze Airways will launch its recently announced Mobile-Orlando route with $39 fares, the Mobile Airport Authority said Tuesday.
In January, Breeze said that it would connect Mobile International Airport, at the Brookley Aeroplex, with Orlando and Providence, R.I., starting April 10. It said at the time that it would offer inaugural pricing of $39 on the Orlando route.
According to new pricing details, the $39 one-way price is only available on bookings made between March 12 and April 16. The price can apply to flights leaving Mobile between April 10 and Sept. 30.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Breeze Airways to Mobile International Airport next month,” said Mobile Airport Authority President Chris Curry. “This exciting partnership represents a significant step forward for our airport and the community. It provides our travelers with more options and affordable fares to a popular destination and underscores our commitment to enhancing connectivity and convenience for our passengers.”
“We’re excited to launch service from Mobile International Airport next month,” said Breeze Airways President Tom Doxey. “Breeze is all about an affordable yet elevated travel experience and we have great fares from BFM to Orlando and Providence.”
Doxey added a reference to the fact that the Breeze fleet includes Airbus A220 aircraft, some of which are manufactured in Mobile. In February, Breeze CEO David Neeleman said the company was increasing the number of A220s it had on order, and would be using the jets for all its commercial flights by the end of 2024.
“We have strong ties with the airport and in the community,” Doxey said, “with our aircraft partner Airbus’ A220 line moments from the Downtown Mobile airport.”
Starting April 10, Breeze flights will leave Mobile for Orlando and Providence on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The Orlando flights are nonstop; the Orlando route has one stop but does not require passengers to change planes. For more information on bookings, visit www.flybreeze.com. The site indicated that some $39 seats would be available on flights from Orlando to Mobile as well.
