32nd annual MovieGuide Awards: How to watch, where to stream free
The 32nd Annual Movieguide Awards premieres on Great American Family (GAF) Thursday, March 6 at 8/7c.
This year’s awards will be hosted by actor Mario Lopez and include well-known GAF stars including Candace Cameron Bure, Cameron Mathison, Jillian Murray, Jesse Hutch, Jen Lilley and more.
What are the Movieguide Awards?
This awards show was created to help honor faith-based and family-friendly entertainment. Best Movie for Families, Best Documentary, Grace Award for Most Inspiring Performance for TV are just a few of the award categories included this year.
Where can I watch this year’s Movieguide Awards?
Those without cable can still catch the 32nd Annual Movieguide Awards through Philo and DirecTV Stream—both of which have free trials available for new subscribers.
Philo is the cheapest option out of the two at just $28 a month after the free trial concludes.
You can catch the awards show on Sling, too, though there is no free trial available to new users.
What is Philo?
Philo is known as one of the first entertainment-focused streaming services to hit the market. Users can stream live TV and on-demand content through their 80 top-rated television channels and take advantage of their unlimited DVR feature for just $28 a month after its free trial.
Top rated channels available for streaming through Philo include A&E, CMT, Discovery Channel, Food Network, Hallmark Channel, ID, MTV, TLC, Lifetime and more.
What is DirecTV Stream?
DirecTV Stream offers even more popular channels that Philo does not carry. Users can stream channels such as ABC, AMC, BET, Bravo, CBS, CMT, CNBC and more through DirecTV Stream’s base package. The base package, otherwise known as the Entertainment package, includes over 90 channels available for streaming for just $86.99 a month after its free trial.
DirecTV Stream also has the Choice package, which is normally $114.99 a month, but through an ongoing promotion, pay just $89.99 a month for your first three months to access the plan’s over 125 channels.
The service’s Ultimate package, normally $129.99 a month, is part of the current DirecTV Stream’s promotion, too. Pay $104.99 a month for your first three months and enjoy over 160 channels.
Those interested can compare all DirecTV Stream’s packages and learn more about the ongoing promotion here.
What is Sling?
Sling is another great basic cable alternative to consider. Though no free trial is available to new subscribers, those interested in committing to a plan get half off the first month with any Sling plan.
Both the Sling Orange and the Sling Blue plans are normally $45.99 a month, but with the ongoing promotion, start streaming with Sling for just $23 a month and access channels like Freeform, ESPN, Bravo, MSNBC, USA and more.
If you can’t decide between the channels offered through Sling Orange or Sling Blue, consider the Sling Orange + Blue plan which combines the two channel packages for $60.99 a month ($30.50 on your first month).
