A 32-year-old woman was killed in a weekend crash on Interstate 65 in Shelby County.

Alabama State Troopers identified the fatality victim as Shahla J. Noori. She lived in Elmore.

The wreck happened at 1:15 p.m. Sunday on I-65, about five miles north of Calera.

Trooper Cpl. Reginal King said Noori was driving a Toyota Corolla that the struck the rear of a Toyota 4-Runner driven by 40-year-old Sascha R. Glassford of Indian Springs.

Noori was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead on the scene.

The investigation is ongoing by troopers.
