A 32-year-old man has been identified as the victim who was shot and killed Wednesday in Mobile, police said Tuesday.

Jabarie Thomas, 32, was the fatal gunshot victim who died at a local hospital Wednesday after being found shot inside an apartment in the 200 block of East Rue Maison, said Cpl. Katrina Frazier.

Mobile police officers responded to the 200 block of East Rue Maison around 11:44 a.m. Wednesday on a call of a person shot, said Cpl. Katrina Frazier.

Officers found the victim, then only identified as a 32-year-old man because his next of kin had yet to be notified of his death, suffering from a gunshot wound inside the apartment.
