32-year-old ID’d as man found fatally shot on porch of Birmingham house
Authorities have released the name of a man found shot to death on the porch of an Inglenook home.
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Litfelton Alexander Frost. He was 32.
Birmingham police received a 911 call around 4:30 p.m. Thursday about a person shot in the 4100 block of 38th Avenue North, said Sgt. Monica Law.
Officers found Frost unresponsive on the porch of a house. He was pronounced dead on the scene at 4:47 p.m.
No suspects were in custody as of early Thursday evening, Law said.
Frost is Birmingham’s 123rd homicide this year. Of those, seven have been ruled justifiable and therefore aren’t deemed criminal.
In all of Jefferson County there have been 164 homicides, including the 123 in Birmingham.
