3 teens shot at east Birmingham house party
An investigation is underway after three teens were shot in Birmingham over the weekend.
East Precinct officers were dispatched at 12: 35 a.m. Sunday to a report of a person shot in the 400 block of 86th Street South.
When they arrived on the scene, said Sgt. Monica Law, they found two teen males – ages 18 and 17 – both suffering from gunshot wounds.
Officers were able to use a tourniquet on the 18-year-old victim before he was transported to UAB Hospital by Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service. A 17-year-old was also transported to UAB by BFRS.
A 16-year-old victim had already been taken to the hospital by private vehicle.
All three are said to have non-life-threatening injuries.
Law said it appears there was a house party at a short-term vacation rental during the time of the shooting incident. It is unknown if any adults were there during the party.
No arrests have been made.
