3 shot in Mobile: 19-year-old killed in parking lot, 2 others likely to survive

A 19-year-old was killed in a Saturday night shooting that injured two others, Mobile police announced today.

At about 7:33 p.m., officers were in the area of the 5000 block of Overlook Road — a Quick Stop Food Mart — when a passerby alerted them to a shooting.

“Upon arrival, officers located a 19-year-old male victim Willie Thomas Jr. down in the parking lot suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced deceased on the scene,” a police statement read.

Police found another 19-year-old male victim in the parking lot suffering from a gunshot wound.

He was taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

“While officers were at the hospital a 20-year-old male victim was dropped off with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound,” the statement continued.
