Madison police have charged three Selma men with rape and sodomy in connection with an incident last month.

Capt. Lamar Anderson said Jeremiah Deshun Ford, 22, Markell Collins, 22, and Robert Lee Thompson, 28, all of Selma, have been charged with first degree rape and first degree sodomy.

Under Aniah’s Law, Ford is being held on $240,000 bond, and Thompson on $160,000 bond. Collins is currently being held with no bond.

The arrests came in connection to a reported sexual assault of an adult victim on June 21.

Madison police worked with the U.S. Marshal Service, the Violent Crimes Task Force, Huntsville police and the Madison County Sheriff’s Office to locate and arrest the three men.
