Jordan-Hare stadium will be under the primetime lights as Auburn football host Texas A&M in a game that can spoil the Aggies postseason plans with a Tigers victory.

Prior to the 2018 Auburn win over Texas A&M in the Plains, the visiting team had won every matchup since the Aggies joined the SEC in 2012.

Texas A&M leads the all-time series 8-6 with the Aggies winning last season in College Station. The Tigers won 13-10 in the last meeting in Auburn.

Does Auburn’s WR’s matchup with Texas A&M secondary?

Texas A&M secondary added eight defensive backs in the transfer portal over the offseason while returning sophomores Jayvon Thomas and Dalton Brooks.

According to the scouting report, Will Lee III and BJ Mayes and safeties Marcus Ratcliffe and Bryce Anderson all over six feet. As a team, the Aggies rank 12th nationally and third in the SEC with 57 passes defended. They currently sit third in the conference with 11 interceptions.

“Texas A&M is loaded, loaded with NFL talent on defense,” Freeze said. “Really, really a problem for you unless you have just the mobility to escape them because they’re constantly putting you under pressure. It’s an issue for us.”

Last week, Keandre Lambert-Smith and Cam Coleman both finished with over 100 receiving yards against ULM. With the Tigers offense averaging 428.5 yards of total offense through 10 games, this will be two of the conferences’ best lining up against each other this weekend.

How much will Le‘Veon Moss absence impact Aggies offense?

Texas A&M star running back Le’Veon Moss went down with a leg injury in the Aggies only conference defeat to South Carolina. His 765 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns was a team high.

Despite rushing 209 yards New Mexico State, the Aggies will have to lean on running back Amari Daniels who totals 375 yards and six touchdowns this year.

Other standouts such as wide receiver Noah Brown leads the team with 390 receiving yards and four touchdowns. Dual-threat quarterback Marcel Reed has rushed for 550 yards and seven touchdowns since taking over for Connor Weigman.

Does the Auburn faithful rush the field with a Tiger victory?

It’s not a long shot to think with how the 2024 college football season has panned out.

With a fair share of field storming moments from the SEC this year, you can’t put it past the raucous Auburn fans if the Tigers knock off the No. 15 Aggies.

The conference fine afterwards will be something the university won’t be too fond of. However, a primetime victory Saturday will make for a legendary night on Toomers Corner.
