2nd suspect arrested in Prichard drive-by shooting that killed woman on Thanksgiving
A second suspect has been taken into custody in connection with a drive-by shooting last Thanksgiving that left a 46-year-old Mobile woman dead.
The Mobile County Sheriff’s Office said Thursday 38-year-old Travon Mottez Glover of Mobile was arrested and charged with intentional murder in the death of Jovinni Tunisha McKeller.
The shooting took place in Prichard just after midnight on Nov. 26 during a Thanksgiving gathering. Investigators say Glover and 28-year-old Bryson Earl Davis, who was arrested in January, were in the vehicle from which shots were fired into the gathering, killing McKeller and injuring another woman.
McKeller and the other woman were innocent bystanders, according to Prichard police. Neither court records nor investigators have indicated a possible motive for the shooting.
In addition to the murder charge, Glover and Davis have each been additionally charged with assault, discharging a firearm into an occupied building and possession of marijuana.
Glover and Davis both have extensive arrest records, with Glover’s priors including drug possession, disorderly conduct, burglary and theft. Davis’ record includes multiple arrests for robbery, discharging a firearm into a building or vehicle, probation violation, and drug possession.
Davis, a Prichard resident, has been held in Mobile Metro Jail without bond since his January arrest. Glover is being held without bond pending an initial court appearance Friday morning.
