An investigation is underway after a fatal shooting in Montgomery.

Montgomery police on Tuesday identified the victim as Darius Gunn. He was 27.

Officers and fire medics were dispatched at 11:57 p.m. Monday to a report of a person shot in the 1000 block of Easter Boulevard.

Maj. Saba Coleman said Gunn was pronounced dead on the scene. No additional information has been released.

Gunn is the city’s 33rd homicide victim this year.
