26-year-old Mobile man identified as victim found shot dead inside vehicle
Mobile police have identified the victim in Tuesday night’s shooting which left one man dead and a juvenile seriously wounded.
Police responded to a report of a shooting on Prairie Avenue just after 9:30 p.m. Tuesday. Arriving at the scene, officers found the adult male dead from an apparent gunshot wound in the driver’s seat of a vehicle.
Searching the area, police also located the male juvenile victim, also suffering from an apparent gunshot wound inside a second vehicle. The juvenile was transported to a local hospital with what police described as life-threatening injuries.
Friday morning, police identified the dead man as 26-year-old Jaylin Craig of Mobile. According to his Facebook profile and family, Craig attended Mary G. Montgomery High School in Semmes and W.P. Davidson High School in Mobile and had studied at Florida A&M University.
Police are still searching for suspect(s) in the shootings.
